One of our ongoing projects is, the Homosassa River Garden Club biennial Standard Flower Show, and on April 20 & 21, 2013, the club will swing into spring with “Wild About Flowers.” The show will be open 12 to 5:30pm Saturday and 9 to 4:30pm Sunday and is free and open to the Public. The event is being held at the Visitor Center of the beautiful Ellie Schiller Wildlife State Park, home of the “manatee fishbowl.” Capturing the atmosphere of the Park, featured design classes include – Designs with Art by Winslow Homer, Underwater Designs, Pot de Fleur and Exhibitional Picnic Tables. Horticultural classes include Orchids in Bloom, Container Plants, Cut Flowers and Arboreal Specimens. This event allows garden club members the opportunity to showcase their floral designs or horticultural exhibits. The entries are all judged by National Garden Club Accredited Flower Show Judges.

We look forward to sharing our botanical beauties with you!
