Radishes are one of the easiest vegetables to grow and are a good choice for beginner veg gardens. Usually grown for the root, radish greens are coming into their own as well, with a taste similar to turnip greens. There is a wide selection of varieties to choose from, not just the white flesh, red skinned type that is so familiar. They are grown as a winter crop in Florida, so there’s still time to get some going if you want to experiment.
