Many public parks charge nothing to visitors. Some of the more popular ones, have fees to fund maintenance and visitor amenities. During the year, the parks recognize certain days with free admission. In honor of our Veteran’s service, this weekend Nov 10-12, is fee free weekend at FL State Parks, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife/Refuge lands. Free entry is for all visitors, not just Veterans. So find a park near you and enjoy the great lands that make up this country!

There are many other events paying tribute on Veterans Day. Our Garden Club holds a ceremony every year at Stage Stand Cemetery, on both Memorial Day and Veterans Day. You may join us there or you can find regional events and more information listed at this link.

Thank you, to all our military personnel who have stepped up to serve the nation!
