Sunflower Power

National Pollinator Week brought to mind the qualities of the sunflower. Frequently grown for their beauty and sometimes jaw dropping size, sunflowers always make an impact and are a great addition to landscapes. Easy to grow, they are a favorite among children. All you need is good sunshine and regular watering. If you are interested in wildlife friendly plants, these fit the bill! Bees, birds, deer and many others will help you enjoy your new plants. A little known benefit of sunflowers is that their sprouts are an edible powerhouse and delicious.
